Sept 9, 2013: Guess what! Mommy told me that we are working to bring home a puppy for me! A few months ago Mommy helped me color a picture of a puppy to send to 4 Paws as part of the application packet, I started drawing little circles where Mommy wanted me to color and told her “I feed dog”. My puppy will never miss a meal because that is one of my favorite things to do! I feed my Grandmum’s dog every time I visit. It may be a while before my dog gets to come home with me. First we have to raise a lot of money for 4 Paws for Ability. But, once we raise $13,000 my puppy will get picked out and put in school! I will finally get to meet him or her about 11-12 months later when I have to go out to Ohio to train with him for 2 weeks. Mommy and Daddy are trying to come up with some creative fundrasing idea’s, but if you have any, let them know! The more help we get, the quicker and easier it will be!
School is going pretty well. I love my teacher Mrs. Yoder. I’m not a very good eatter at school. I love the playground and I love when we sing 5 little monkeys. We are still waiting for my afternoon nursing to get set up for my ride home on the bus. Today we tried a full day at school. Mommy had been picking me up at 2:30 for the first two weeks of school. My classroom nurse is able to ride to and from school with me if I can last a full day. I fell asleep on the bus ride home and my nurse told Mommy I was really sad at school after 2:30, even Mrs. Yoder couldn’t help me feel better. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day. Please pray that I can adjust, not be overly tired and that school can find good ways to comfort me. Once a nurse is hired to ride the bus with me I can go back to whatever schedule my little body seems to need.
